DelSolar completes first project at US facility
DelSolar USA, a subsidiary of DelSolar, completed a 1 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) project for US Foodservice in Livermore, California, which is the first one in a series of similar projects for the national food distribution company. The solar system installed at the US Foodservice San Francisco Distribution Centre used 4,354 pieces of DelSolar's D6P230A3E multi-crystalline 230Wp photovoltaic module. It included a 759 kW rooftop section and a 241 kW carport, which will together generate approximately 1,380,227 kWh/year, equivalent to an annual energy consumption of about 194 homes in California.
The second PV project is expected to take place at a different site later this year. Stephen Torres, Director of DelSolar USA said, " The PV project at US Foodservice's San Francisco Centre validated DelSolar's turn-key capabilities for large commercial and utility-scale projects as well as the acceptance of c-Si technologies in the US market. We are excited about the opportunity to deploy additional large-scale solar solutions at other US foodservice facilities over the next 12 months.' The project was partially funded through the California Solar Initiative (CSI) incentive programme.
