BPCL announces natural gas discovery in Mozambique

Bharat PetroResources, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bharat Petroleum Corporation, advises that Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, USA, has informed that the Lagosta exploration well, which is currently under drilling at 4,221 metre depth in the Rovuma Basin, Area 1, offshore Mozambique, has encountered a total of more than 168 net metres of natural gas in multiple high quality Oligocene and Eocene sands. This is the third natural gas discovery including the Windjammer and Barquentine discoveries that had been announced earlier.
