ONGC eyes idle assets from Panna-Mukta-Tapti JV

ONGC will take over abandoned assets in the Panna-Mukta-Tapti field from its joint venture partners Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) and BG India (formerly known as British Gas) once production from Tapti falls to zero. This will not only save RIL and BG India the cost of dismantling the infrastructure, but also help ONGC which can use these assets to advance the deadline for production of gas from the upcoming Daman field.
