IFC funds to boost Indias Nepal presence

According to Nepal's Finance Ministry, following a meeting between Nepal's Finance Minister Dr Ram Sharan Mahat and IFC's Executive Vice-Chairman and Executive Chief Jin-Yong Cai, IOFC has finalised a plan to provide an assistance of around Rs 375 billion for the development of Nepal's hydropower sector. This deal is expected to open up newer business opportunities for Indian power companies looking at tapping NepalĀ“s huge hydroelectric potential.
