MoEF waives public hearing for certain coal projects

The union ministry of environment has simplified  the procedure to be followed by developers of existing coal mining projects for one-time capacity expansion of up to 25 per cent. Now, the developers of existing coal projects need not conduct public hearing for acquiring an environmental clearance for one-time capacity expansion of up to 25 per cent.
