A growing Lucy Electric team for the growing Indian market

Lucy Electric, a leader in medium voltage, secondary power distribution solutions, has appointed Ajithkumar Kesavan to its newly created role as Director of India Marketing & Sales. He brings over 16 years’ industry experience of delivering engineering solutions that meet customers’ needs.

The position was created in response to the growth in the Indian market and the exciting opportunity this presents for Lucy Electric as India begins ambitious programmes of network investment and adapting to the growing demand for distributed generation.

Commenting on his appointment, Ajithkumar said, “I’m thrilled to be taking up this new role at Lucy Electric at a time when India’s energy future is embarking on a period of great transition and growth. The market has seen a surge in solar generation and with falling costs leading to the recent cancelling of a number of thermal power plants, this is set to continue.”

Carl Sellick, Lucy Electric’s Global Sales Director, said “Since opening our second facility in India two years ago, there has been a growing demand for our equipment and the way we work to develop intelligent and smart engineering solutions. Ajithkumar will be a great asset to our team and our customers as he works with them to shape the Lucy Electric solutions to suit their needs.”
