Four CERT teams to mitigate cyber threats in power

GoI, in line with National Cyber Security Policy 2013, has created sectoral Computer Emergency Response Teams (CERTs) to mitigate cyber security threats in power systems. This was stated by Union Power Minister Piyush Goyal, in a written reply to a question on steps taken for reducing vulnerability of smart power grid technology. Goyal informed that GoI through Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) and National Critical Information Infrastructure Protection Centre (NCIIPC) has taken several steps to make power utilities and key stakeholders aware to take precautions against cyber threats.
