BHEL bags order to set up a 250-MW thermal plant

State-run Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has bagged a contract to set up a 250-MW thermal power plant in Odisha. The order has been placed by NTPC-SAIL Power Company, a joint venture between NTPC and Steel Authority of India (SAIL). The coal-based thermal unit will be set up at Rourkela power project on engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) basis. BHEL had earlier executed the coal-based 2x250 MW Bhilai expansion power plant for the company.
