Govt´s Konkan refinery plan faces opposition
The Petroleum Ministrys plan to set up a coastal refinery in the Konkan region of Maharashtra could be jeopardised with activists opposing the project. The same activists have been opposing the Jaitapur nuclear project in the coastal district of Ratnagiri in Maharashtra.

IOC to reach 10 MT refining capacity this fiscal
Oil refiner cum retailer Indian Oil Corp Ltd (IOC) aims to reach a refining capacity of 9-10 million tonne (MT) in this fiscal at its 15 MT crude oil refinery at Paradeep. We were aiming to achieve 100 per cent capacity capacity utilisation at our Paradeep refinery this fiscal.

D Sen takes over as Director (Business Development) of Indian Oil Corp
D Sen has taken over as Director (Planning and Business Development) of the nation's largest oil company, Indian Oil Corp (IOC). Prior to this, Sen was Executive Director in-charge of Lubes at IOC's marketing division headquarters, the company said in a statement. Sen is also the Chairman of IOC Middle East, a wholly-owned subsidiary of IOC involved in the lubes business in the Middle East.

IOC to Invest Rs8,000 cr in Koyali Refinery Expansion
Indian Oil Corp (IOC) will invest about Rs 8,000 crore to expand capacity at its Koyali oil refinery in Gujarat to 18 mt per annum by 2016-17. The expansion from 13.7 mt will lead to improvement in distillate yield thereby enabling production of more value added products from the refinery.
