Alstom T&D wins Rs 200 cr equipment order from Bajaj

In Uttar Pradesh, Alstom T&D India has got an order of Rs 200 crore for supply of equipment to 1,980 mw power plant of Bajaj Infrastructure Development Company. The contract is for supply of electrical balance of plant package for Bajaj Infrastructure's upcoming 3x660 mw thermal power project in Lalitpur. Alstom T&D will be responsible for design, engineering, supply and installation of th equipment. The Lalitpur plant is expected to be commissioned in 2015.

CIL to invest Rs 20 bn on 7 washeries by FY14

TK Sinha, General Manager (project monitoring) of Coal India (CIL) informed that the state-run firm may place orders worth Rs 2,000 crore for at least seven coal washeries by the current fiscal. While CIL would invest Rs 2,000 crore on these seven washeries, the decision for the rest would be taken later. For building wind farm and maintenance Gamesa India has won an order of 65 wind turbine generators of 2 mw capacity each, from CLP India. The order is expected to be about Rs 900 crore. Gamesa sells its 2 mw machines at around Rs 13 crore, hence the value of the order is expected to be about Rs 900 crore. CLP India is a leading wind Independent Power Producer and a subsidiary of the Hong Kong-based CLP Holdings. The IPP has wind power assets of about 1,100 mw in India.
