ONGC to commission Dahej petrochem plant
ONGC´s long-delayed mega petrochemical plant at Dahej will be commissioned by June next year but at 27 per cent higher cost of Rs 27,122 crore. ONGC had in 2006 set up ONGC Petro-additions Ltd (OPaL) for building a mega petrochemical complex at Dahej in Gujarat.

Government to set up three new petrochemical investment regions
Government is considering setting up three new petrochemical investment regions in the coastal areas of Karnataka, Maharashtra and West Bengal. The internal infrastructure of these will be built and managed by a developer. The external linkages will be provided by the central and the state governments.

Asian Development Bank (ADB) will provide $150 million loan to Petronet LNG Ltd to part finance expansion of its Dahej LNG import terminal in Gujarat. Petronet, the nation's largest importer of gas in its liquid form, is expanding its 10 mtpa Dahej terminal to 15 mt at an estimated cost of about Rs 2,950 crore by end 2016.
