AP inks MoUs for 24x7 power

Andhra Pradesh has taken the first step towards becoming self-reliant in the power sector by entering into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Union Power Ministry to implement 'Power For All' (24x7 power supply) in the State from October 2 this year. Other MoUs were also signed for setting up solar power parks across the State.

According to the Union power ministry, the 250 MW capacity unit-4 of the Chabra Super Thermal Power Plant (STTP) has a cost escalation of Rs 833 crore.
