Coal fields allotted to UP to up its capacity by 2,000 mw

To help Uttar Pradesh to enhance its power plants' capacity by 2,000 mw, the Union government has allotted two coal fields to the State. The State government plans to improve these allotted coal fields over four years to feed its power plants. The UP government has planned capacity enhancement of the power plants like Harduaganj, Panki and Obra.
