CleanMax Solar and Hitachi High-Technologies announce partnership

CleanMax Solar and Hitachi High-Technologies Corporation announced signing of an MoU to jointly offer high-end rooftop solar solutions to Japanese companies across India. The partnership would build on recent industry trends which make rooftop solar significantly cheaper than grid tariffs in India.
Badagabettu GP powered by solar

Around 80 gram panchayats (GPs) across Karnataka’s Badagabettu district have been encouraging the transition to solar power, leading to the first GP building to be powered by a solar system coming from the area. Although the work on the system was completed a month ago, it had not been officially inaugurated.
TANGEDCO gets bids for 300 MW of solar tender

The Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO) has received bids for 300 MW of solar power from as many as 22 developers. The state utility had floated a tender, for procuring 500 MW of solar power, after its previous tender last year received a tepid response.

Telangana to achieve 3 GW solar

Telangana is set to cross the 3 GW solar power generation capacity by 2017-end, up from about 1.1 GW installed capacity now. In achieving the 3 GW mark, the state will also be able to cross another milestone of achieving over 15 per cent of the total energy contribution from the renewable energy segmen.

Spread over 10 sq km, it took 8,500 men working two shifts every day for six months - and three shifts for two months - to finish, is the world's largest solar power station in a single location.
Suzlon to sell stake in 130 MW projects before March

Suzlon Energy has divested 49 per cent stake in around 210 MW of solar power projects while sale of stake in another 130 MW of projects is in the works, with aim to be completed before March 2017, Kirti Vagadia, CFO, Suzlon Group has said.
MD and CEO of DEWA inaugurates ABB’s 315kW solar power plant

HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, inaugurated ABB’s new 315 kW solar power plant, located in the ABB offices at the Al Quoz industrial area and one of the largest of its kind in the region. Energy produced at the plant will supply ABB offices with electricity and transfer surplus energy into DEWA’s network.
