Tata Power-DDL chips in to restore power in Kerala
In order to restore Kerala’s electricity which was devastated by the floods, Tata Power Delhi Distribution (Tata Power- DDL) has dispatched seven trucks of 473 km of cables to assit the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB).

Kozhikode to set up solar power in 25 govt. schools
The Kozhikode district panchayat in partnership with the Kerala SEB is planning to set up solar power in 25 government high schools. The project priced at Rs.2.50 crore aims to encourage attempts of domestic power generation and will supply excess power generated for the KSEB grid for profit. On completion of the trial run, the project will be considered for further extension to other government schools.
Allot coal block | State to Centre

Mining banned in six Kerala rivers
Mining has been banned in six of Kerala´s rivers for three years based on the sand mining audit, which reported that there was not enough sand deposits in these rivers and further mining could lead to environmental degradation.
