The Bihar government is working hard to provide electricity to everyone by 2015. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has already announced that he would not seek votes if his government failed to improve the power scenario in the state, energy minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav told the state assembly on March 4.

To set up a new greenfield thermal power station (2X660MW) near Chausa in Buxar district of Bihar, two Bihar government undertakings and Sutlej JalVidyutNigam (SJVNL) have signed an MoU last week.
