OVL short-listed for oil, gas field auction in Mexico
ONGC Videsh Ltd, has been short-listed alongside global giants like Chevron, Shell and Total to bid in Mexico's latest round of oil and gas field auction. Mexico is offering 15 shallow-water exploration blocks in the second round of hydrocarbon auction, called round 2.1.

India to accelerate $ 200 billion smart cities projects
When the 60 winning cities (with proposals worth over Rs 1.31 lakh crore) become smart, it is expected to positively impact the lives of 72 crore urban population. While Rs 1.05 lakh crore will be spent on area-based development plans, Rs 26,141 crore will be spent on pan-city solutions in the next five years.

GAIL awards Rs.550-cr contracts for ´Urga Ganga´ pipeline
GAIL (India) Limited, India´s biggest gas transporter, has awarded Rs.550 crore worth of contracts for laying part of ´Urga Ganga´ gas pipeline from Phulpur in Uttar Pradesh (UP) to Haldia in West Bengal (WB). Pipe contracts have been awarded to four companies for a 341 km stretch, GAIL said in a statement.
