In Need of Back-Up
In June 2018, the government has revised the targets for 2022 to increase the solar power capacity to 113 GW from the earlier set 100 GW. Though the industry has the capability to meet this, it is fighting policy-level challenges.

Sungrow achieves over 1 GW inverter shipment in India
Sungrow held ‘Solar Gigawatt Day’ as part of this year’s India Solar Week event to commemorate its 1 GW of PV inverter shipment to India. Post entry into the Indian PV market in the early 2010s, Sungrow has experienced rapid growth and has now achieved over 1 GW of PV inverter shipment to this country. Established in 1997, Sungrow has shipped over 38GW of inverter equipment globally and has become the world’s largest PV inverter supplier since 2015.

Sungrow wins 150 MW contract With Mytrah Energy
PV inverter manufacturer, Sungrow, has been awarded a contract to supply solar central inverters for around 150 MW of solar projects by Mytrah Energy (India) Private Limited. The company will help with the design, engineering, manufacture and assembly of central inverters for Mytrah´s solar projects in Telangana and Punjab.
