Indian Railways to build the world’s highest rail line
The world’s highest rail lines of 465 km, which will connect New Delhi and Ladakh, will be build by the Indian Railways at an estimated cost of Rs 833 billion. A strategically important Bilaspur-Manali-Leh line along the Indo-China border will be build by the national transporter.
Azure Power raises over USD 400 million from equity and debt financings
Since June 30, 2018, over USD 400 million has been raised from equity and debt financings by Azure Power. Of the USD 400 million, USD 185 million was raised in its first public follow-on offering on the New York Stock Exchange that closed in October 10, 2018, while the rest included various project debt financings and short-term debt facilities.

Coal shortage at Mettur’s 600 MW unit

Goyal tells WCL to supply ample coal to Mahagenco
Western Coalfields (WCL) has been instructed by Piyush Goyal, Coal and Railway Minister, to supply ample and good quality coal to Mahagenco with sufficient rakes for supplying coal to the state’s power generation company.
