ACME to supply power at Rs.4.43 per unit in AP
ACME, a green energy player, has bagged tenders for developing 200 MW of solar power projects in separate bids conducted by Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) and NTPC in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, respectively, it said in a statement. ACME won the largest share of 150 MW out of 400 MW at fixed tariff of Rs.4.43 per unit in addition to viability gap fund of Rs.55 lakh per MW.

India eyes four solar power plants of 1000 MW each
The government is aggressively accelerating the solar energy programme and aiming for 4 giant plants of 1,000 MW each. It also wants to bundle solar and conventional power to make renewable energy more affordable. Giant solar projects may be put up quickly in Rajasthan, Gujarat, Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh as the new government is keen to promote this source of renewable energy.
