MoU signed between NTPC and JBVNL
Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between NTPC and Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited for providing one acre of land to establish power sub station at village Bukru under Keredari Block.
EIL pledges Rs 5,700 cr for Jharkhand
Essel Infraprojects Limited (EIL) has committed an investment of Rs 5,700 crore for development and enhancement of infrastructure in Jharkhand. The MoU for investment would be inked between Government of Jharkhand and Essel Infra Projects Ltd.

Power Ministry electrifies 56 villages in Jharkhand
The Ministry of Power (MoP) has electrified 56 villages in Jharkhand last week. The villages belong to various districts of Deoghar, Paschimi Singhbhum, Purbi Singhbhum, Palamu, Saraikela-Kharsawan, Kodarma, Bokaro, Chatra, Ramgarh, Dhanbad and Giridih. Announcing the same, Piyush Goyal, Union Minister of State (IC) for Power, Coal and New & Renewable Energy, tweeted, "Electrified 56 villages in Jharkhand last week. Finally, people of these villages can avail the benefits of power."
