India's first wind power auction to upend traditional business model | BTI
India’s first ever wind power auction has resulted in a record low wind power tariff of Rs 3.46 (US¢ 5.2)/kWh, just marginally higher than the record low levelised tariff of Rs 3.29 (US¢ 4.9)/kWh in the recent Rewa solar auction. Mytrah, Sembcorp, Inox and Ostro are the winning bidders and will be awarded 250 MW each. Successful bidders will sign 25-year PPAs with PTC India, which will sign back-to-back PPAs with discoms.
Delhi secretariat saves Rs 1 cr by using solar power
The Delhi government has saved over Rs 1 crore in the last one year by running the Delhi secretariat on solar power. The 1 MW facility at the Indraprastha covers 20 per cent of the Players Building where the headquarters of Delhi government is housed, an official source said. There are also plans to expand this capacity to 3 MW, which will power the entire building.

Perkins Aurangabad facility goes on stream
Perkins engine manufacturing facility in Aurangabad was officially inaugurated by Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister, Maharashtra. Built with an investment of over $150 million, the state-of-the art facility is strategically located within the Delhi-Mumbai industrial corridor in the Shendra Industrial Estate in Aurangabad.
102 NDMC buildings to have solar panels
New Delhi Municipal Council´s power department has stated plans to install solar panels at more than 100 buildings within their jurisdiction. Under the Smart City project, solar panels would be installed at 102 buildings of which 28 would produce 1.5 MW energy and 74 would generate 1 MW power, a senior NDMC official said.
