Tata Power reports 126 per cent increase in PAT for Q1
Tata Power, India’s largest integrated power company, today announced its results for the quarter ended June 30th, 2017, reporting a 126 per cent increase in PAT and 28 per cent increase in standalone PAT as compared to Q1FY17.

Tata Power, announced its results for the quarter ended 31st December, 2016. Q3 consolidated Profit After Tax stood at Rs.599 crore, as against Rs.433 crore in Q3 FY16, it was up by 38 per cent mainly due to improved performance by key Indian subsidiaries and coal companies coupled with a favourable tax credit.

Delhi Govt. yet to pay Rs 50 crore to discoms
While Delhi government’s Power Amnesty Scheme has resolved problems of overcharging or non-payment of bills, state discoms claim they have not yet received the promised payments. Government data revealed that the scheme which was open for nine months offered waivers in power bills of consumers worth a whopping Rs 128 crore.

Mitsubishi launches energy storage demonstration project
Mitsubishi Corporation reached a basic agreement with AES Corporation and Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (TPDDL), to develop an energy storage demonstration project in India. The project will be concentrated in the grid sectors operated by TPDDL.
