Ghat road stretch to get solar streetlights
Around 19 spots on the stretch of Thamarassery ghat road will be installed with solar powered streetlights. The project will be executed by Kerala state Electronics Development Corporation (Keltron), informed Babu Parassery, District Panchayat President.

Badagabettu GP powered by solar
Around 80 gram panchayats (GPs) across Karnataka’s Badagabettu district have been encouraging the transition to solar power, leading to the first GP building to be powered by a solar system coming from the area. Although the work on the system was completed a month ago, it had not been officially inaugurated.

Chandigarh to generate power from organic waste
In a pilot project proposed by the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation, the city will soon convert its 10 tonnes of organic waste into electricity with the foundation stone of the bio-methanation plant to be laid at Industrial Area Phase 1 at October-end.
