Siemens and Sumitomo Electric win order for HVDC link
A consortium of Siemens and Sumitomo Electric Industries Ltd. has been awarded an order from Power Grid Corporation of India, the central transmission utility of India, to supply a high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission system.

Siemens announces Q1 FY 2017 results
For the first quarter of Financial Year 2017 ended December 31, 2016, Siemens Ltd. registered an increase in revenue from continuing operations by 16.1% in Q1 2017 over the same quarter in the preceding year. Profit before tax from operations of continuing operations increased by 60.5% to Rs 245.64 crore.

Siemens announces 10.4percent increase in revenues for Q3 2016
Siemens Ltd registered 44.3 per cent rise in new orders at Rs.3,224.25 crore in the third quarter of FY16, as compared to Rs.2,234.08 crore in Q3´15. Revenues increased by 10.4 per cent at Rs.2,563.13 crore in Q3´16 compared to Rs.2,322.01 crore in Q3´15. However, profit after tax was lower at Rs.130.03 crore in Q3´16 compared to Rs.168.26 crore in Q3´15, due to one-time costs and adverse exchange rates.

Siemens bags Rs 411 cr order from Power Grid Corp
Siemens Limited announced that it has won a crucial turnkey order (design, engineering, commissioning and installation) from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) worth approximately Rs. 411 crores. The order is for Static Var Compensators (SVCs) for three of PGCIL’s substations: Ludhiana in Punjab, Kankroli in Rajasthan and New Wangpoh in Jammu & Kashmir.
