IT-enabled power distribution to save Rs.10,000 crore annually
GoI aims to save as much as Rs.10,000 crore annually by leveraging IT to ramp up its power distribution network in urban towns by January 2019. Moving in this direction, the Ministry of Power is likely to award the works to have IT-driven power distribution in as many as 2,636 towns across the country by December this year.
