Vivaan Solar has qualified to install 5 MW rooftop solar power plant at four major railway stations in Delhi/NCR. The tender was issued by Northern Railways, New Delhi for Anand Vihar terminal railway station, the Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station, the Old Delhi railway station, and the New Delhi Railway station, and their respective capacities are 1.1 MW, 0.6 MW, 2.2 MW, and 1.1 MW.

The Union Ministry of New and Renewable Energy has delisted three companies out of the 28-member companies panel of channel partners who were selected by the Agency for Non-Conventional Energy and Rural Technology (Anert) for executing the 10,000-rooftop solar power plants programme. Based in neighbouring States, the three companies will not be able to take up new works under the State government’s project. Kerala seeks Centre's nod for grid-connected solar project

For launching a grid-connected rooftop solar power project in houses in Kerala, the State Power Department has sought the permission of the Union Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE). This, like the off-grid project under ‘Solar Homes’ launched on February 18 in the state by Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Farooq Abdullah, will be implemented in 10,000 homes, the State Electricity Minister Aryadan Mohammed told the Assembly last week.
