AP inks MoUs for 24x7 power
Andhra Pradesh has taken the first step towards becoming self-reliant in the power sector by entering into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Union Power Ministry to implement 'Power For All' (24x7 power supply) in the State from October 2 this year. Other MoUs were also signed for setting up solar power parks across the State.

Three entities to develop AP solar projects

Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh (APTransco) is investing Rs 3,000 crore this year to set up 60 new high tension sub-stations in the state, 14 of them in coastal districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam and the two Godavari districts.
