Nigeria signs MoU with GE for five solar power plants

The Nigerian Northern States Governors´ Forum has signed an MoU with GE for the construction of five solar power plants. Five states including Borno, Kebbi, Nassarawa, Niger and Taraba will soon benefit from the solar power plants, with 100 MW capacity each.

Mahindra to set up 200 mw solar plants in TN

With an investment of Rs 1,400 crore, Mahindra EPC wants to set up 200 mw of solar power plants in Tamil Nadu, across two locations — near Madurai and Tiruchi. When completed, a group company of Mahindra & Mahindra will own a third of the 200 mw capacity, while the rest would be sold to those who wish to own solar assets.
