The Powerful backup
24x7 power supply is a rarity in India. There are very few places in the country that can boast of having continuous supply of power. All this has resulted in growth of inverters, UPS and DG sets, fondly called the ´power backup´ industry.

Heated argument
Solar technology has many unique attributes which make it one of the most preferred sources of power, particularly in India, a densely populated country with a high energy deficit - it can be rapidly deployed across most parts of the country, it is modular in nature and it is environmentally friendly.

Equipped!
There seems to be some traction in the wake, especially
in the electrical and power equipment sector in India. When posed with some tricky questions, a surprising wave of positivity appeared among private industry leaders over the government´s tall claims of having a level playing field in this sector.

CPCB II norms: A saviour for back-up power
The gap between power production and consumption is widening in India and will further vitiate with the government´s thrust on manufacturing. Since power outages have become the norm, industrial consumers are left with no option but to use diesel gensets. As such, with a genset power range of 10 kVA-200 kVA, the Indian market is about 100 thousand units per year.
