Downpour causes power cuts to areas along Yamuna

Heavy rains have caused power disruption to areas dotting along the Yamuna river. With Yamuna crossing the danger mark in Delhi and a threat of low-lying areas being flooded looming large, Reliance-owned discoms BRPL and BYPL have suspended electricity supply to the areas falling along the river bed. Advised by Delhi government, BRPL has suspended power to the residents in low-lying areas along the river bed.
