Godawari solar thermal plant generating above stated capacity
Godawari Power (GODPI) & Ispat Ltd.´s solar-thermal plant is generating more power than expected, allaying criticism that the technology was failing in India. Godawari´s 50-MW project is at times generating 10 MW more than its stated capacity. Godawari´s plant is the first of seven solar-thermal generators planned in India. The remaining six have had their deadlines extended to February from May.

Godawari starts 50 mw solar thermal plant in Rajasthan
The 50 mw solar thermal power plant set up by Godawari Power and Ispat’s wholly owned Subsidiary, Godawari Green Energy at Nokh village in Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan has started commercial operations from June 19, 2013. Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation has given the Commissioning Certificate of Project to the company on July 2.
