Andamans to soon have solar-storage plants
The Andaman & Nicobar Islands, will soon have India´s first city-scale battery storage solar power plants supplying 24x7 power to remote locations. State-owned NTPC will set up a total 25 MW solar storage capacity on the main island of Port Blair as part of the Centre´s bid to rid the place of polluting diesel generators, its main source of power at present.
Against All Odds
A shining example of success, NTPC Ltd won PMI India´s Best Project of the Year award. The award was for exemplary use of project management techniques to complete 5MWp grid-connected solar PV plant in Port Blair in record time.

Solar panel in Bijnor collectorate
In the wake of continuing power cuts and with an aim to reduce pollution caused by diesel generators, the Bijnor collectorate will soon have a massive 15 KW solar panel installed.
Engine technology to drive efficiency
The need for power generators is increasing day-by-day. PJM Khan discusses the usage of generators and the challenges that the industry faces.
There is substantial need for fuel-efficient generators (gensets) in India to bridge the gap between demand and generation. The need for temporary power gensets in India is increasing because the captive power plants help people keep electrical power production and profitability growing while delivering valuable time and cost savings. The power generat
Need for grid discipline
Collective measures along with a strong grid discipline could avert incidences of grid failure, says Ashok Khurana, Director General, Association of Power Producers (APP), in an interaction with Pradeep Pandey.
