India, Canada sign three MoUs in energy, infrastructure
India and Canada signed three MoUs at the ´Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit´ in Gujarat´s Gandhinagar, calling for multi-stakeholder engagement in the areas of energy, infrastructure, innovation and research. Among these, a MoU between a Canadian Consortium of companies and the Gujarat Infrastructure Development Board (GIDB) was signed for the promotion and development of a Petroleum and Petrochemical complex with storage facilities.

ONGC to commission Dahej petrochem plant
ONGC´s long-delayed mega petrochemical plant at Dahej will be commissioned by June next year but at 27 per cent higher cost of Rs 27,122 crore. ONGC had in 2006 set up ONGC Petro-additions Ltd (OPaL) for building a mega petrochemical complex at Dahej in Gujarat.

Thermax wins Rs 1,700 cr CFBC boilers order
Thermax has bagged Rs 1,700 crore order for supply of CFBC boilers. The order is from leading petrochemical company for design, manufacture and commissioning of nine circulating fluidised ged combustion (CFBC) high pressure boilers of 500 tph each for two if its plants.
