Tata wins 2,000 mw worth of overseas power projects
Across overseas, Tata Power has won bids for projects in Indonesia, South Africa, Bhutan, Australia and Vietnam that generate close to 2,000 mw of power. While a third of it is expected to come up in the next two years, the rest are in exploratory stages. With at least half a dozen of its power projects languishing in India, Tata Power has been exploring avenues in geothermal, hydro, solar and wind sectors abroad, mainly in Africa, south-east Asia, the middle-east and SAARC region.
