Bridging the gap
While India seeks to be the next super power and the biggest economic player in Asia, this entails large strides towards development, which despite all policies and intentions is not possible without sufficient energy supply.

Come up trumps with standards
Due to failure in adoption of global standards by manufacturers, Indian motor industry is losing ground to rising imports. Today, energy efficiency is of dominant importance due to the ever rising electrical energy demand, growing awareness about global warming, and fossil fuel prices threatening to spiral again.

BEE Star Rating equips users to choose the best
BEE has introduced a star rating system based on efficiency of the motors. It covers motors up to 375 kW. By introducing the informative star label, BEE gives opportunity to users (manufacturers, consumers) to choose the best efficient motor available in the market.
Our goal is to add three new sectors to the next PAT cycle
Look at the principle of energy efficiency as a leaky bucket. If there is a leak somewhere, no matter how much you fill the bucket, it will not be full. It is the same concept here and today we have the opportunity to reduce energy demand by 10 per cent.

CPCB II norms: A saviour for back-up power
The gap between power production and consumption is widening in India and will further vitiate with the government´s thrust on manufacturing. Since power outages have become the norm, industrial consumers are left with no option but to use diesel gensets. As such, with a genset power range of 10 kVA-200 kVA, the Indian market is about 100 thousand units per year.
